Dear Customers,

In light of the worldwide Covid-19 pandemic, RKS Sales has decided to implement various social distancing, health assessment and hygiene protocols, as recommended by health authorities.  To that end, we have developed a Virus Pandemic Plan [copy attached], and also introduced various internal office hygiene and social distancing practices, which will remain in force until further notice. These include the external visitors arrangements detailed in the attached “Covid Door” attachment, together with the following additional internal measures:

  1. Temperature checks for all present staff members twice a day; 
  2. Regular and thorough hand washing for all staff members during the day;
  3. Wherever possible, staff members are encouraged  to maintain a distance of 1 metre from each other, and to avoid all physical contact.

We have also discussed at length the best approach to adopt with regard to our Sales Representatives. Many of our customers have already notified us that they have banned or wish to discourage external visitors to their work sites. Accordingly,  as of today,  all Sales Representatives have been are instructed to cancel all customer visits and forthcoming sales trips until further notice.  Sales Representatives have also been also instructed to discontinue all customer deliveries until further notice. In the interim, your Sales Representatives will be contacting their customers via phone and email regularly, and will endeavour to maintain the usual levels of RKS Sales support and service.

Consistent with the temporary cancellation of Sales Reps’ deliveries, as of tomorrow, our daily free deliveries  to the Dandenong area will be ceasing.  All items which would otherwise be delivered will now be shipped free into store via our couriers. Customers will also be allowed to pick up their goods from our warehouse if that is their preference, provided that the necessary hygiene and social distancing protocols are maintained.
